And Giselle, that's right WP is really great to create something showing the world what you love,
if you need some kind of dietetic advice to esplain why sushis are healthy or why veggies are better than cookies (except the taste, right...) I'll be glad to offer my help

thanks guys!

im getting excited about it now.

so, dave, thanks for the suggestion. i think youre right though, wordpress looks like it makes more atractive blogs and they look a bit more professional. so thanks for the suggestions and im sure ill be looking for more ideas once i figure this out.

and drew, thanks so much for the offer. i think id like to take it, 17 bucks is a small price to pay. so, first, im not trying to make this secret at all, i just didnt want to say bc theres nothing at the blogspot site. but its about food. i want to review restaurants in the city as well as specialty shops in the city and the things i make with what i buy there. as well as a special section of out o town restaurants when i go galavanding. anyway, you tell me what to do as my host. im thinking i can start a blog at wordpress just to get it going and then transfer it to your host when youre able to. let me know.

muchas gracias! stay warm in seattle!

Hey, Giselle. If you want to register a domain name (~$17 for two years), I would be happy to host your blog like I do for Whit and EsplainIt.

My hosting your blog would give us a few extra levels of control over things. I use WordPress for all my sites (http://esplainit.com, http://whitscott.com, http://drewd.com, http://leiout.com).

Also, how secret are you trying to make this?

This page should help you with the custom domain name for blogspot problem:
http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=55373

This should help you on the way to a unique theme:
http://themes.blogflux.com/blogger

It looks like it should be pretty easy to get setup and running. I've never personally used blogspot.com, but it looks like it has all of the features you should need to get up and running without having to pay for hosting, which is really cool. Let me know if this is helpful or if you need anything else esplained further.

This is obviously something either Drew, Emlyn or Cyrille should be answering. I'll trying to come up with something witty. but really, knowing this stuff for a novice, someone who doesn't want to learn code... Super helpful.

Cheese is addictive (think morphine) and is one of the hardest things for a vegan to give up.

From
http://www.pcrm.org/magazine/gm03summer/gm03summer02.html

"Cow’s milk—or the milk of any other species, for that matter—contains a protein called casein that breaks apart during digestion to release a whole host of opiates called casomorphins. A cup of cow’s milk contains about six grams of casein. Skim milk contains a bit more, and casein is concentrated in the production of cheese.

If you examined a casein molecule under a powerful microscope, it would look like a long chain of beads (the “beads” are amino acids—simple building blocks that combine to make up all the proteins in your body). When you drink a glass of milk or eat a slice of cheese, stomach acid and intestinal bacteria snip the casein molecular chains into casomorphins of various lengths. One of them, a short string made up of just five amino acids, has about one-tenth the pain-killing potency of morphine."
